The new OS will arrive on new phones and will available to existing users as a software update.
“The Mango update for current Windows Phone handsets will be ready this fall, and of course will come pre-installed on new Windows Phones. Here on the Windows Phone team, we now turn to preparing for the update process.” Terry Myerson, Microsoft’s corporate vice president of engineering for Windows phone said in a blog post.
The new OS with a focus on improving communication, app multitasking, and Internet browsing, built in Internet Explorer Web Browser. Mango includes new features like Threads (a fusion of text, IM and Facebook Chat), a web-based market place for apps and a mobile version of Internet Explorer 9 with advanced HTML5 support.
